The author studies semigroup versions of standard results from the multiplicative theory of integral domains, where by a semigroup we mean a submonoid of a torsion-free Abelian group. Some of the topics investigated include oversemigroups, quotient semigroups, valuation semigroups, ideal transforms, and completely integrally closed semigroups.
