Projective point scales and summation formula for Chebyshev polynomials
From MaRDI portal
The paper presents new summation formulas for Chebyshev polynomials. The proof is based on relations of the corresponding coefficients with projective point scales. The results can be used to derive summation formulas for hyperbolic functions of the form \[ \sum^{+\infty}_{k= 0} {1\over\cosh(kt)} {1\over\cosh((k+ 1)t)}= {1\over \sinh(t)},\quad t>0. \]
