-complex symplectic and Calabi-Yau manifolds: Albanese map, deformations and period maps
For a given complex manifold \(X\), one can consider the de Rham, Bott-Chern, Aeppli and Dolbeault cohomologies: \[ H^{\bullet}_{\mathrm{dR}}(X, \mathbb C)= \frac{\text{ker\,} d}{\text{im\,} d} \quad H_{BC}^{\bullet, \bullet} = \frac{ \text{ker}\, \partial \cap \text{ker}\,\overline{\partial}}{\text{im}\,{\partial \overline{\partial}}},\quad H_{A}^{\bullet, \bullet} = \frac{ \text{ker} \,\partial \overline{\partial}}{\text{im}\,{\partial} + \text{im}\, \overline{\partial}}, \quad H_{\overline{\partial}}^{\bullet, \bullet}(X)= \frac{\text{ker}\,\overline{\partial} } {\text{im}\, \overline{\partial}}. \] A compact complex manifold \(X\) satisfies the \(\partial \overline{\partial}\)-Lemma if every \(\partial\)-closed, \(\overline{\partial}\)-closed and \(d\)-exact with \(d=\partial+\overline{\partial}\) complex form on \(X\) is \(\partial \overline{\partial}\)-exact. The Albanese torus is defines by \(\text{Alb}(X)= H^0(X, d\mathcal{O}_X)^* /H, \) where \( H^0(X, d\mathcal{O}_X) \subset H^1_{\mathrm{dR}}(X, \mathbb C)\) is the space of closed holomorphic 1-forms, and \(H\) is the closure of the image of \(H_1(X, \mathbb Z)\) in \( H^0(X, d\mathcal{O}_X)^\ast\). Fixing a point \(x_0\in X\) one obtains the Albanese map \( \alpha: X\to \text{Alb}(X)\), \(x\mapsto[\varphi\mapsto\int_{x_0}^x\varphi]\), where \(\phi \in H^0(X, d\mathcal{O}_X)\) and \(\int_{x_0}^x\phi\) is defined up to cocycles in \(H^1(X, \mathbb Z)\). Using the \(\partial\overline{\partial}\)-Lemma, the authors obtain the decomposition \[ H^k_{\mathrm{dR}}(X, \mathbb C)= \bigoplus_{p+q=k}H_{\overline{\partial}}^{p,q}(X), \] and study the structure of the Albanese map of compact complex manifolds with trivial canonical bundle. They prove that the Albanese map is a surjective holomorphic submersion with connected fibres and that every fibre is a compact complex manifold with trivial canonical bundle. The authors define a \(\partial \overline{\partial}\)-complex symplectic manifold as a pair \((X, \sigma)\), where \(X\) is a compact complex manifold satisfying the \(\partial \overline{\partial}\)-Lemma and \( \sigma \in H^0(X, \Omega^2_X)\) is a \(d\)-closed holomorphic symplectic form. They say that \(X\) is simple if \(\sigma\) is unique up to scalars. The authors prove that the property of being \(\partial \overline{\partial}\)-complex symplectic is open in the universal family of deformations. They show then that the Kuranishi space of \(X\) is a smooth universal deformation and that small deformations enjoy the same properties as \(X\). If \((X, \sigma)\) is a \(\partial\overline\partial\)-complex complex manifold, the authors obtain some information about the period map. On a \(\partial \overline{\partial}\)-complex symplectic manifold \(X\) one can define the Beauville-Bogomolov-Fujiki quadratic form \(q_\sigma\) on \(H^2_{\mathrm{dR}}(X, \mathbb C)\). Assuming that \(X\) is simple, the authors show that this quadratic form behaves very much like in the irreducible holomorphic symplectic case.
