On the mutual singularity of Hewitt-Stromberg measures

Properties of multifractal Hewitt-Stromberg measures on general Bedford-McMullen carpets are studied. Its mutual singularity is proved, solving a question from \textit{N. Attia} and \textit{B. Selmi} [J. Geom. Anal. 31, No. 1, 825--862 (2021; Zbl 1462.28003)]. This leads to deeper understanding of local dimension spectra of such measures.
