Abstract: We study the elliptic genera of level N at the cusps of Gamma1(N) for any complete intersection. These genera are described as the summations of generalized binomial coefficients, where each generalized binomial coefficient is related to the dimension and multi-degree of complete intersection. For complete intersection Xn(underlined), write c1(Xn(underlined))=c1x, where xinH2(Xn(underlined);mathbbZ)congmathbbZ is a generator. We mainly discuss the values of the elliptic genera of level N for Xn(underlined) in the case of c1>0,=0 or <0. In particular, the values about the Todd genus, hatA-genus and Ak-genus of Xn(underlined) can be derived from the elliptic genera of level N.

A complete intersection \(X_n\) is the transverse intersection of \(r\) hypersurfaces in \(\mathbb{C} P^{n+r}\). These are complex manifolds of complex dimension \(n\). For almost complex manifolds \(M\) of real dimension \(2n\) with first Chern class divisible by \(N\), one can define the elliptic genus of level \(N\) of \(M\). This is a modular form of weight \(n\) on some congruence subgroup \(\Gamma_1(N)\) of \(SL_2(\mathbb{Z})\). In the paper under review the values of the elliptic genera of level \(N\) of complete intersections at some cusps of \(\Gamma_1(N)\) are computed. Moreover, formulas for the Todd genus and \(A_k\)-genera of complete intersections are given. These computations and formulas depend on whether the first Chern class of the complete intersection is positive, negative, or zero.
