Abstract: Let mathcalF be either the set of all bounded holomorphic functions or the set of all m-homogeneous polynomials on the unit ball of ellr. We give a systematic study of the sets of all uinellr for which the monomial expansion sumalphafracpartialalphaf(0)alpha!ualpha of every finmathcalF converges. Inspired by recent results from the general theory of Dirichlet series, we establish as our main tool, independently interesting, upper estimates for the unconditional basis constants of spaces of polynomials on ellr spanned by finite sets of monomials.

Given an \(m\)-tuple of positive integers \({\mathbf j}=(j_1,\ldots,j_m)\) with \(1\le j_1 \le\cdots \le j_m\) and a holomorphic function \(f\) on a Reinhardt domain \(R\), the authors use \(c_{\mathbf j}(f)\) to denote the coefficient of \(z_{\mathbf j}:=z_{j_1}\ldots z_{j_m}\) in the monomial expansion of \(f\) about the origin. For \(1\le r\le \infty\) and a set of multiindices \(J\), the authors determine an upper bound for the unconditional basis constant of \(\mathcal{P}(^J \ell_r^n)\) (the space of polynomials on \(\ell_r^n\) spanned by \(z_{\mathbf j}\), \({\mathbf j}\in J\)). Using \(\operatorname{mon}\mathcal{F}(R)\) to denote the set of all \(z\) in \(R\) so that \(\sum_ {\alpha\in {\mathbf N}_0^{({\mathbf N})}}|c_\alpha(f)z^\alpha|\) converges for all \(f\) in a set of holomorphic functions \(\mathcal{F}(R)\), the authors obtain upper and lower bounds for \(\operatorname{mon}\mathcal{P}(^m\ell_r)\) and lower bounds for \(\operatorname{mon} H_\infty (B_{\ell_r})\) and \(\operatorname{mon} H_\infty(B_{c_0})\). For both the results on the unconditional basis constant and on \(\operatorname{mon} H_\infty(B_{\ell_r})\), the bounds obtained for \(1\le r\le 2\) and for \(2\le r\le \infty\) differ.
