Abstract: We introduce a new form of the Segal--Bargmann transform for a Lie group of compact type. We show that the heat kernel has a space-time analytic continuation to a holomorphic function [ (
ho_{mathbb{C}}( au,z))_{mathrm{Re}, au>0,zin K_{mathbb{C}}} ] where is the complexification of . The new transform is defined by the integral [ (B_{ au}f)(z)=int_{K}
ho_{mathbb{C}}( au,zk^{-1})f(k),dk,quad zin K_{mathbb{C}}. ] If and (the disk of radius centered at ), this integral defines a holomorphic function on for each . We construct a heat kernel density on such that, for all as above, is an isometric isomorphism from onto the space of holomorphic functions in . When , the transform coincides with the one introduced by the second author for compact groups and extended by the first author to groups of compact type. When , the transform coincides with the one introduced by the first two authors.
