The relationship between the Fermi-Dirac distribution and statistical distributions in languages
From MaRDI portal
Publication:2364562
The author applies the technical tools of statistical physics to the description of the language. He conjectures that the transition from the communication system of high primates to human language can be described analogously to the gas-liquid phase transition in thermodynamics, occurring at low temperatures.
