Systems of quadratic Diophantine inequalities
In this paper the author considers the problem of finding, for every \(\epsilon > 0\), nonzero integer solutions for the system of inequalities \[ | Q_{1}(x)| < \varepsilon,\;\ldots,\;| Q_{r}(x)| < \varepsilon \] where \(Q_{1}(x),\ldots,Q_{r}(x)\) are quadratic forms in \(s\) variables, with real coefficients. And in his main result he proves that one can guarantee nonzero integer solutions for the system above, provided that the system \(Q_{1}(x) =0, \ldots, Q_{r}(x)=0\) has nonsingular real solution, and each form in the real pencil is irrational and has rank \(> 8r\). For the proof the author generalizes the methods of \textit{V. Bentkus} and \textit{F. Götze} [Ann. Math. (2) 150, 977--1027 (1999; Zbl 0979.11048)].
