Abstract: Let mathscrF(NimesmathbbR) be the set of all closed H-hypersurfaces MsubsetNimesmathbbR, where N is a simply connected complete Riemannian n-manifold with sectional curvature KNleq−kappa2<0. We show that Hm(NimesmathbbR)=infMinmathscrF(NimesmathbbR)|HM|geq(n−1)kappa/n.

For the set of all closed hypersurfaces immersed into a complete Riemannian manifold a new invariant was suggested by \textit{H. Rosenberg} [First Meeting in Differential Geometry of UFRJ, Rio de Janeiro (2005)]. In this paper, a lower bound estimation for the Rosenberg invariant as well as for the mean curvature of the immersed H-hypersurfaces is established. Thus, in particular, the authors give an affirmative answer to a question of Rosenberg. They also obtain a lower bound for the extrinsic radius, and deduce a version of a Frankel-type intersection theorem.
