Rotation and curvature of a curve on a convex surface
Let K be a curve with bounded variation of the rotation on the \(C^ 1\)- smooth surface P in Euclidean space. The author introduces the rotation indicatrix of the curve K in space parametrized with the right rotation of K on the surface P and the right spherical image of the curve K parametrized with the parametrization of the indicatrix. With the help of these objects the author studies the connection between extrinsic geometrical characteristics and the intrinsic geometrical characteristics of the curve on the surface. In particular the author shows that the n- dimensional measure of the spherical image of the curve K equals zero if the rotation of the curve K on the \(C^ 1\)-smooth convex surface is bounded.
