The spectral Kuznetsov formula on SL(3)
A number of deep results on the growth of GL\((2)\)-automorphic forms and their \(L\)-functions rests on the method of ``amplification attributed to Iwaniec, see [\textit{W. Duke} et al., Invent. Math. 143, No. 2, 221--248 (2001; Zbl 1163.11325)]. The idea is to use the relations satisfied by Hecke-operators by multiplying with certain linear combinations of Fourier-coefficients, which become large for Hecke-eigenfunctions and small otherwise. In this way, the contribution to certain sums of Hecke eigenforms is amplified.NEWLINENEWLINEThe present paper develops technical ingredients to implement an effective and explicit amplifier in the context of GL\((3)\)-automorphic forms. Several coset decomposition computations in the GL\((3)\)-Hecke algebra are explicitly done.
