Convergence of an \(O(h^4)\) scheme applied to a semi-linear parabolic equation
Convergence of an \(O(h^4)\) scheme applied to a semi-linear parabolic equation
The paper deals with the numerical solution of a semi-linear parabolic equation on a unit square with the aid of a fourth-order finite difference method. Applying the maximum principle the order of convergence is proved. The paper contains also a Mathematica code and numerical experiments. The presented results are more or less standard.
