The motion of a family of natural cylinders in the category of small categories provides a new light on the homotopy of \({\mathcal C}at\) giving an homotopy model structure internally defined. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINELinks are given with previous works about categorical homotopy (viewed internally as well as lifted from simplicial sets or topological spaces).
