Abstract: Let Opt(a), for tinmathbfR, be the pseudo-differential operator f(x) mapsto (2pi)^{-n}iint a((1-t)x+ty,xi)f(y)e^{iscal {x-y}xi} dydxi and let mathscrIp be the set of Schatten-von Neumann operators of order pin[1,infty] on L2. We are especially concerned with the Weyl case (i.{}e. when t=1/2). We prove that if m and g are appropriate metrics and weight functions respectively, hg is the Planck's function, hgk/2minLp for some kge0 and ainS(m,g), then Opt(a)inmathscrIp, iff ainLp. Consequently, if 0ledelta<hole1 and ainSho,deltar, then Opt(a) is bounded on L2, iff ainLinfty.
