A certain modification of classical singular function
Representation functions (11B34) Metric theory of other algorithms and expansions; measure and Hausdorff dimension (11K55) Singular functions, Cantor functions, functions with other special properties (26A30) Functional equations for real functions (39B22) Systems of functional equations and inequalities (39B72)
The author studies properties of a modification of the singular function studied by \textit{R. Salem} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 53, 427--439 (1943; Zbl 0060.13709)]. The function is shown to have several properties, both in terms of (non-)continuity, monotonicity and differentiability; as well as to enjoy certain self-similar properties.
