The paper is focused on the so-called full symmetric Toda system related to the Lie algebra \({sl}(n,\mathbb{R})\). This system has a Lax representation with a scattering operator given by a real traceless symmetric matrix in general form and a second Lax operator given by a real skew-symmetric matrix in general form. The authors discuss an explicit description of the Poisson structure on the space of symmetric traceless \(n\times n\)-matrices and the Poisson structure on the space of smooth functions \({sl}(n,\mathbb{R})\to\mathbb{R}\) that are invariant under the Borel subgroup of \(\mathrm{SL}(n,\mathbb{R})\). Taking into account the structure of the latter space, the authors prove that the full symmetric Toda system is superintegrable. A homomorphism from the Lie algebra of functions invariant under the Borel subgroup of \(\mathrm{SL}(n,\mathbb{R})\) to the Lie algebra of vector fields over \(\mathrm{SO}(n,\mathbb{R})\) is also constructed. The general results obtained in the paper are illustrated by the example of \(4\times 4\) matrices.
