The concept of algebraic complete integrability refers to Hamiltonian systems where the flow is linearized on a complex torus (or an abelian variety) derived from the system's fibers. This paper focuses on the linearization and the determination of a Lax representation for the algebraically complete integrable Toda lattice associated with a twisted Lie algebra \(a_4^{(2)}\). The authors' previous work on this topic appears in [SIGMA, Symmetry Integrability Geom. Methods Appl. 20, Paper 087, 26 p. (2024; Zbl 1555.37061].\N\NThe first part of the paper describes the basic ideas and results pertaining to the algebraic complete integrability of the \(a_4^{(2)}\) twisted affine Lie Toda lattice. The second part has the main results relating this to the Mumford system and constructs an explicit morphism between these systems. The Mumford system is described in [\textit {D. Mumford}, in: Tata lectures on Theta: 2. Jacobian Theta functions and differential equations. Boston: Birkhäuser (1984; Zbl 0549.14014)]. The last part of the paper provides the Lax representation for this Toda lattice.
