Einstein submanifolds with parallel mean curvature vector field into S^n R
The paper under review considers isometric immersions with flat normal bundle and parallel mean curvature vector field of Einstein manifolds into products of simply connected constant curvature spaces with \(\mathbb{R}\).\N\NThe main results of this well-written paper are the following:\N\NTheorem 1. Einstein submanifolds with flat normal bundles belong to class \(A\), that is, the tangent component of the \(\mathbb{R}\)-factor is an eigenvector of all shape operators. \N\NTheorem 2. Einstein submanifolds with flat normal bundles and parallel mean curvature vector fields are warped products of isometric immersions.
