A reduction over finite fields of the tame local Langlands correspondence for SL_N
The first main aim of the paper under the review is to provide a Langlands parametrization of the irreducible representations of \(\mathrm{SL}_N(k)\), where \(k\) denotes a finite field. The author constructs a surjection from the set of such representations to the set of inertia equivalence classes of tame Langlands parameters for \(\mathrm{SL}_N(F)\), where \(F\) is a non-archimedean local field of characteristic zero with residue field \(k\). Providing a parametrization of fibers, the authors proves a conjecture of Imai and Vogan.\N\NAs the second main aim of the paper, the author obtains a compatibility of constructed surjection with the tame local Langlands correspondence for \(\mathrm{SL}_N(F)\).
