Realization of saturated transfer systems on cyclic groups of order p^n q^m by linear isometries N_-operads
The author uses Rubin's combinatorial condition [\textit{J. Rubin}, Glasg. Math. J. 63, No. 2, 307--342 (2021; Zbl 1464.55018)] to provide an inductive proof that, for primes \(p,q\ge 5\), every saturated transfer system on a cyclic group of order \(p^nq^m\) is realized by a linear isometries operad. This amounts to an inductive guarantee that for such groups \(G\) and any saturated \(G\)-transfer system \(R\), there exists a \(G\)-universe \(\mathscr{U}\) for which the transfer system associated with \(\mathscr{L}(\mathscr{U})\), the linear isometries operad on \(\mathscr U\), has associated transfer system \(R\). The method is purely combinatorial, with most of the effort in the inductive step.\N\NThe author provides a helpful comparison with MacBrough's subsequent -- and quite different -- techniques, which solve the saturation conjecture for all cyclic groups [\textit{E. MacBrough}, ``Equivariant linear isometries operads over Abelian groups, Preprint, \url{arXiv:2311.08797}].
