Abstract: We study the well-posedness and regularity of the generalized Navier-Stokes equations with initial data in a new critical space which is larger than some known critical homogeneous Besov spaces. Here is a space defined as the set of all measurable functions with sup(l(I))^{2(alpha+eta-1)-n}int_{I}int_{I}frac{|f(x)-f(y)|^{2}}{|x-y|^{n+2(alpha-eta+1)}}dxdy<infty where the supremum is taken over all cubes I with the edge length l(I) and the edges parallel to the coordinate axes in mathbbRn. In order to study the well-posedness and regularity, we give a Carleson measure characterization of by investigating a new type of tent spaces and an atomic decomposition of the predual for In addition, our regularity results apply to the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with initial data in Qalpha;infty1,−1(mathbbRn).

This paper is concerned with the well-posedness and regularity of the Cauchy problem for some generalized Navier-Stokes equations in the half-space \(\mathbb R_+^{1+n}=(0,\infty)\times \mathbb R^n\), \(n\geq 2\), as follows \[ u_t + (-\Delta)^\beta u+ (u\cdot \nabla)u-\nabla p = 0, \quad \nabla \cdot u=0 \;\text{ in } \mathbb R_+^{1+n}; \quad u(x,0)=a(x) \;\text{ for }x\in\mathbb R^n, \] with \(\beta \in (1/2, 1)\). Here \((-\Delta)^{\beta}\) denotes the fractional Laplacian with respect to \(x\). These equations generalize the classical Navier-Stokes equations as well as the two-dimensional quasi-geostrophic equations.
