Horosymmetric limits of Kähler-Ricci flow on Fano G-manifolds

In this paper, the authors study the long-term behaviour of the normalised Kähler-Ricci flow on Fano manifolds under \textbf{G}-invariance, where \textbf{G} is a complex reductive Lie group. Starting from any Kähler metric in \(2\pi c_1(M)\), they show that the Gromov-Hausdorff limit is a \(\mathbb Q\)-Fano horosymmetric variety carrying a possibly singular Kähler-Ricci soliton structure. Moreover, this limit arises from an equivariant \(\mathbb C^*\)-degeneration induced by an element of the Lie algebra of a Cartan torus, providing a connection between the analytic evolution and an algebraic degeneration of the original manifold. The proof reduces the flow for invariant metrics to a real Monge-Ampère equation and uses local estimates for translated convex potentials to identify the limiting geometry. The results extend to all Fano horosymmetric manifolds and imply that, when the original manifold admits no Kähler-Ricci soliton, the flow develops unbounded curvature as time tends to infinity.
