Let \(A\) and \(G\) be finite groups of coprime orders with \(A\) acting on \(G\) by automorphisms and let \(p\) be a prime divisor of \(|G|\). An \(A\)-invariant subgroup \(H\) of \(G\) is called \(AC_p\)-normal in \(G\) if there exists an \(A\)-invariant normal subgroup \(T\) of \(G\), containing the core \(H_G\), such that \(G=HT\) and \((H\cap T)/H_G\) is a \(p'\)-group.\N\NThe paper gives several criteria for \(p\)-solvability in terms of this condition. In particular, for \(n\in\{1,2\}\), if every \(n\)-maximal \(A\)-invariant subgroup of \(G\) is \(AC_p\)-normal in \(G\), then \(G\) is \(p\)-solvable; when \(p=2\), it follows that \(G\) is solvable. It is also proved that \(G\) is \(p\)-solvable if and only if every maximal \(A\)-invariant subgroup of \(G\) is \(AC_p\)-normal in \(G\).\N\NFor \(3\)-maximal \(A\)-invariant subgroups, the corresponding result is established for \(p=2\): if every \(3\)-maximal \(A\)-invariant subgroup of \(G\) is \(AC_2\)-normal in \(G\), then \(G\) is solvable. The proof of this result uses the classification of finite simple groups.
