The Arabic textual traditions of Euclid's \textit{Elements}
Der Aufsatz faßt die Ergebnisse zweier Dissertationen zusammen, in denen die Bücher 5 (durch \textit{J. W. Engroff}) und 7--9 (durch \textit{G. de Young}) der arabischen Euklidübersetzung von \textit{Isḥāq b. Ḥunain} in der Bearbeitung von \textit{Thābit ibn Qurra} ediert worden sind. Diese Arbeiten liefern erstmals seit Klamroths grundlegendem Aufsatz (1881) neue Ergebnisse in der Frage der griechisch-arabischen Euklidübersetzung von Isḥāq-Thābit. Die kritische Edition der Bücher 5 und 7-9, die 12 der etwa 20 bekannten Isḥāq-Thābit- Handschriften benutzte, zeigt, daß es zwei Textfamilien gibt, die vor allem in Buch 7 und 8 stark voneinander abweichen. Zwei Handschriften der Isḥāq-Thābit-Rezension (Escurial, Ms. arabe 907; Leningrad, Akademia Nauk, Ms. C 2145) unterscheiden sich von den übrigen dadurch, daß sie Textteile enthalten, die offenbar der Übersetzung von al- Ḥaǧǧāǧ entnommen sind. Sie ermöglichen es dadurch, Teile dieser älteren arabischen Übersetzung zu rekonstruieren, die nur in einer einzigen, dazu noch kontaminierten Handschrift überliefert wird, die am Anfang von Buch 7 abbricht (ediert von \textit{R. O. Besthorn} und anderen, Kopenhagen 1893--1932).
