This paper concerns with the homogenization of a class of quasilinear elliptic problems in a two-component domain with a jump of the solution on the interface proportional to the flux. The setting is weaker than usual and the framework of variational weak solution is not available, where the forcing data is \(L^1\) and the coefficient periodic matrix \(A(y, t)\) is only bounded locally in \(t\). By the idea of truncating, the author defines the renormalized solution, and uses the periodic unfolding method to identify the homogenized problem. The main difficulty is to manage the boundary integral resulting from the jump on the interface, and to study the properties of the solution in the disconnected component. Conditions for the uniqueness of both quasilinear problems, the oscillating one and the homogenized one, are also stated.
