This paper is about the volume function of a doubly truncated hyperbolic tetrahedron. Starting with works of others on the subject, the authors develop a unified approach to express the volume in different geometric cases by dilogarithm functions, and they give several numeric examples using Mathematica. The introduction contains a brief survey (with many references) of results pertaining to closed formulas for the volumes of hyperbolic and spherical tetrahedra in terms of their edge lengths. It also describes the difficulties encountered when treating the case of intense truncations, such as the still unsettled case of a prism truncated tetrahedron.
