On the uniform convergence of single and double sine series (Q2448970)

The author considers and compares several results in which various sufficient conditions for the uniform convergence of the series \(\sum_{n=1}^\infty c_n\sin nx\) with complex coefficients are given. All these conditions are based on the so-called bounded variation concept. He considers and compares known results also for the uniform convergence of the double sine series \(\sum_{k=1}^\infty\sum_{\ell=1}^\infty c_{k\ell}\sin kx\sin\ell y\) and he proves two new theorems giving sufficient conditions for the uniform convergence.
