A nonlinear thermoelastic Bresse system: global existence and exponential stability (Q302058)

In this paper, the authors deal with the nonlinear thermoelastic system, given by four equations of Bresse model. The first equation is a nonlinear equation describing the vertical motion of the curved beam, the others three equations are linear and describing the shear motion, the longitudinal motion and the heat conduction respectively. The thermal effects are present in the shear equation. In a first step, the authors present the local existence of solutions. In a second step, the Bresse system is rewritten as a first order system to prove the global existence and the exponential stability.
