    If \(\Phi,\Psi:X\multimap Y\) are set-valued maps, a point \(x\in X\) is called a coincidence point if \[ \Phi(x)\cap\Psi(x)\not=\emptyset. \] Here, the authors consider the case where \(X\) and \(Y\) are partially ordered. For \(x\in X\) and \(U\subset X\) let \(O_X(x):=\{u\in X|\, u\preceq x\}\) and \(O_X(U)=\bigcup_{x\in U}O(x)\). They prove the following theorem: Assume that there are \(x_0\in X\), \(y_0\in\Psi(x_0)\), and \(z_0\in\Phi(x_0)\) with \(z_0\preceq y_0\) such that \(\Phi\) is isotone, \[ O_Y(\Psi(x))\cap\Phi(O_X(x_0))\subset\Psi(O_X(x)) \] for every \(x\in X\), and such that for any two selections \(\phi,\psi:X\to Y\) of \(\Phi\) and \(\Psi\) and any chain \(S\subset O_X(x_0)\) with \(\psi(S)\subset O_X(x_0))\) such that \(\psi(x)\preceq\phi(x)\) for \(x\in S\) and such that for \(x_1,x_2\in S\) with \(x_1\prec x_2\) we have that \(\phi(x_1)\preceq\phi(x_2)\). Then there is a coincidence point of \(\Phi\) and \(\Psi\) in \(O_X(x_0)\).
