The author investigates the target problem for nonlinear control systems with possible controlled discontinuity of the trajectories (the so-called jumps). This study is made through two aspects:NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINE-- qualitative aspect: this paper gives a geometrical characterization of initial position starting from which it is possible to reach the target,NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINE-- quantitative aspect: the value function, defined as the minimum time to reach the target, is characterized through its epigraph as a qualitative problem.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEAs a byproduct a characterization by means of viscosity solutions is given.
