Subgroups permutable with all Sylow subgroups
Die vorliegende Arbeit betrachtet sich als Fortsetzung zu einem Ergebnis von \textit{O. H. Kegel} [Math. Z. 78, 205-221 (1962; Zbl 0102.26802)]. Zudem weist der Verfasser auf Resultate von \textit{P. B. Kleidman} [Ann. Math., II. Ser. 133, No. 2, 369-428 (1991; Zbl 0726.20012)] zur Vermutung von Kegel und Wielandt hin. Es sei \(G\) eine endliche Gruppe. Mit \(\text{Syl}(G)^\perp\) wird die Menge aller Untergruppen von \(G\) bezeichnet, die mit jeder Sylowgruppe von \(G\) (für jede Primzahl) vertauschbar sind. Ist \(H\) eine Untergruppe von \(G\), so bezeichne \(H^G\) den kleinsten \(H\) enthaltenden Normalteiler von \(G\), während \(H_G\) den größten in \(H\) vorhandenen Normalteiler von \(G\) bedeutet. Laut \textit{J. E. Roseblade} [Math. Z. 90, 365-372 (1965; Zbl 0131.02203)] heißen zwei Gruppen \(H\) und \(K\) orthogonal, wenn \(H/H'\otimes K/K'=0\) gilt. Es wird gezeigt (Proposition A), daß \(H^G/H_G\) nilpotent ist, falls \(H\) zu \(\text{Syl}(G)^\perp\) gehört. Hernach kommt Corollary 3: Sei \(H\) in \(\text{Syl}(G)^\perp\), \(\pi\) die Menge aller jener Primzahlen, welche die Ordnung von \(H/H_G\) teilen, und \(G^{{\mathcal N}_\pi}\) der kleinste in \(G\) enthaltene Normalteiler mit der Eigenschaft, daß die Faktorgruppe \(G/G^{{\mathcal N}_\pi}\) nilpotent ist und jeder Primteiler ihrer Ordnung zu \(\pi\) gehört; dann enthält der Normalisator \(N_G(H)\) das \({\mathcal N}_\pi\)-Residuum \(G^{{\mathcal N}_\pi}\) von \(G\). Daraus folgt Theorem B: Sei \(H\) ein Element von \(\text{Syl}(G)^\perp\), dann wird \(H\) von jeder zu \(H/H_G\) orthogonalen Untergruppe von \(G\) normalisiert. Insbesondere ist \(H\) ein Normalteiler von \(G\), falls die Ordnungen der Faktorkommutatorgruppen von \(G\) und \(H\) zueinander teilerfremd sind. Theorem A: Wenn \(H\) ein Element von \(\text{Syl}(G)^\perp\) ist, dann ist \((H^{\mathcal N})^G=(H^G)^{\mathcal N}\) die kleinste unter jenen Untergruppen von \(H\), die \(H^{\mathcal N}\) enthalten und zu \(\text{Syl}(G)^\perp\) gehören. Für auflösbare Gruppen \(G\) wird folgendes sehr schöne Resultat erzielt (Theorem C): Ist \(H\) ein Element von \(\text{Syl}(G)^\perp\), so ist \(H/H_G\) in \(G/H_G\) genau dann hyperzentral, wenn \(H\) mit einem Systemnormalisator von \(G\) vertauschbar ist.
