Symmetry via spherical reflection
From MaRDI portal
A new procedure for establishing symmetry which may be considered as an extension of the planar reflection method to reflection in spheres, is introduced. The method of spherical reflection relies on a maximum principle related to surface geometry. A new proof of the Alexandrov theorem is given.
