The small long-range repulsive limit of mass constraint variational problems
The authors study a mass constraint variational problem in \(R^3\) with a long-range repulsive interaction. The properties of the problem depend on the following three positive parameters: prescribed mass N, long-range interaction exponent \(s\) and long-range impulsive strength \(\lambda\). The authors study necessary and sufficient conditions concerning the parameters, which ensure existence, uniqueness or non-existence of minimizers of the variational problem. Besides, a limiting behavior of the minimizers is investigated.
