Transfer functions are obtained for certain multidimensional systems with given initial- and boundary-values (i.e. with bounded spatial domains). The transfer function is obtained by applying the Laplace transforms in the temporal domain and solving the resulting partial differential equation with respect to the spatial domain with known boundary values with the aid of the Sturm-Liouville transformation.
