Traveling wave solutions in a delayed competitive model

From MaRDI portal

This paper studies the propagation dynamics of a delayed competitive population model, see [\textit{A. Ruiz-Herrera}, SIAM J. Math. Anal. 52, No. 6, 6297--6312 (2020; Zbl 1455.35024)]. Under suitable conditions, the authors show that all competitors propagate with the same speed in the sense that the model admits the minimal wave speed of traveling wave solutions that connects the trivial state and the coexistence state. The main ideas of the proofs are based on the comparison principle and careful constructions of upper and lower solutions.
