Trajectories connecting two events of a Lorentzian manifold in the presence of a vector field (Q1284428)

The author considers \(({\mathcal M}, \langle\cdot,\cdot \rangle_L)\) a static Lorentzian manifold and introduces the functional framework to get a variational formulation of the problem of finding trajectories connecting two events of \(\mathcal M\). In order to obtain the main results, the author applies the standard critical point theory and the Ljusternik-Schnirelmann critical point theory.
