The author is concerned with incomplete Cauchy problems via \(C\)- semigroups. Some examples, including perturbations of Laplace equation and incomplete versions of the wave equation are given. Note that in Definition 2.3, one must replace \(W(t)x-x\) by \(W(t)x-Cx\).
