Consider strongly continuous families of operators \(\{\) S(t), \(t\geq 0\}\), \(\{\) W(t), \(t\geq 0\}\) on a Banach space X. \(\{\) S(t)\(\}\) is an exponentially bounded n-times integrated semigroup generated by A if: \(S(0)=1\), (w,\(\infty)\in \rho (A)\) (resolvent set) and \(\| S(t)\| \leq Me^{wt},\) \((r-A)^{-1}x=r^ n\int^{\infty}_{0}e^{-rt}S(t)x dt\text{ for } r>w,\quad x\in X.\{\) W(t)\(\}\) is a C-semigroup with C being a bounded injection on X if \(W(0)=C\) and \(CW(t+s)=W(t)W(s).\) The author discusses relationships between n-integrated semigroups and C- semigroups. Some new results about integrated semigroups and the abstract Cauchy problem are obtained and illustrated by several examples.
