Let \((\mathbb{R}^{2n},\;\omega= dx_ 1\land dy_ 1+\cdots+ dx_ n\land dy_ n)\) be the standard symplectic manifold. The symplectic mapping problem has the following formulation: Given two open, diffeomorphic subsets \(U\), \(V\) of \(\mathbb{R}^{2n}\), when does there exist a diffeomorphism \(\psi: U\to V\) such that \(\psi^* \omega= \omega\)? Some answers to this question were obtained via the theory of capacities and, more recently, symplectic homology (a symplectically classification of basic open and bounded shapes such as ellipsoids and polydiscs). Other answers are given in this paper via holomorphic techniques applied to the mapping problem for particular open, infinite volume subsets of \(\mathbb{R}^ 4\). A model for the types of spaces examined is the camel space \[ C(\lambda)= \bigl\{(x_ 1,x_ 2,y_ 1,y_ 2)\in \mathbb{R}^ 4\mid y_ 1\neq 0\text{ or }y_ 1=0, x^ 2_ 1+ x^ 2_ 2+ y^ 2_ 2< \lambda^ 2\bigr\}. \] {}.
