Two-generated ideals in non-Noetherian semigroup rings (Q1921370): Difference between revisions

The authors determine when a commutative semigroup ring \(R[S]\) has the 2-generator property for large classes of commutative cancellative monoids \(S\) which are not torsion groups and commutative rings \(R\). They also give a structure theorem for certain finitely generated torsion-free modules over the above semigroup rings.
