The paper is devoted to the study of the probability \(F(a,x)\) that the chordal \(SLE_{8/3}\) in the unit disk from \(\exp(ix)\) to 1 avoids the disk of radius \(\exp(a)\) centered at zero. It is proved that \(F\) is the unique solution of an evolution equation with initial and boundary conditions. As \(a\) tends to zero, this probability decays like \(\exp(-cx/(1-\exp(a)))\) with \(c=5\pi/8\) for \(0<x\leq \pi\). This strong decay is used to prove a stochastic representation for \(F(a,x)\) involving a Legendre process.
