    Assume that \(A\) and \(B\) are two \(C^{*}\)-algebras. The authors give some conditions under which a mapping \(f: A \to B\) is a \(C^{*}\)-algebra isomorphism, as well as a mapping \(f: A \to A\) is a linear derivation. The following two theorems are examples of such results. Let \(r > 1\), \(\theta \geq 0\) and let \(f: A \to B\) be a bijective mapping such that \[ \| \mu f(x) + f(y) + 2 f(z) \| \leq \| 2 f( \frac{ \mu x + y}{2} + z ) \| \tag{2.2} \] \[ \| f(x + y) - f(x) f(y) \| \leq \theta (\| x \| ^{2r} + \| y \| ^{2r}) \] \[ \| f(x^{*}) - f(x)^{*} \| \leq \theta (\| x \| ^{r} + \| y \| ^{r}) \] for all \(\mu \in \mathbb C\), \(| \mu | = 1\) and \(x, y, z \in A\). Then the mapping \(f: A \to B\) is a \(C^{*}\)-algebra isomorphism. Let \(r > 1\), \(\theta \geq 0\) and let \(f: A \to B\) be a mapping satisfying (2.2) and \[ \| f(x + y) - f(x) y - x f(y) \| \leq \theta (\| x \| ^{2r} + \| y \| ^{2r}) \] for all \( x, y \in A\). Then \(f: A \to A\) is a linear derivation. Similar theorems are proved for isomorphisms and derivations in Lie \(C^{*}\)-algebras and in \(JC^{*}\)-algebras.
