Resolvents of cone pseudodifferential operators, asymptotic expansions and applications (Q2481298): Difference between revisions

The authors study structure and asymptotic behaviour of the resolvent of elliptic cone pseudodifferential operators acting on weighted Sobolev spaces over a compact manifold with boundary. A new parameter dependent pseudodifferential calculi is defined and discussed. The calculi is used to construct a parametrix for a parameter-elliptic cone pseudodifferential operators. The resolvent, heat kernel and zeta function expansions are obtained. The last section is devoted to find the index of the closure of an elliptic cone operator. An analytic index formula is proved.
