One of the open problems for evolution equations on the positive half-line is to classify the classes of input and output function spaces such that the admissibility provides the existence of a dichotomy. Another open problem is to determine the main differences between the case of uniform dichotomy and the case of exponential dichotomy and to identify the corresponding classes of input and output spaces in each case. In this paper, a new and unified approach is proposed and solutions to the above problems are found and presented.
