The paper concludes the classification of modular categories \(\mathcal{C}\) of rank \(5\) that are not selfdual. Fusion categories of rank \(2\) or \(3\) have been classified by \textit{V. Ostrik} [Math. Res. Lett. 10, No.~2--3, 177--183 (2003; Zbl 1040.18003) and Mosc. Math. J. 8, No.~1, 111--118 (2008; Zbl 1161.18003)], respectively, while the classification of modular categories of rank \(4\) satisfying the pseudo-unitary condition was done by \textit{E. Rowell, R. Stong} and \textit{Z. Wang} [Commun. Math. Phys. 292, No.~2, 343--389 (2009; Zbl 1186.18005)]. Shorter proofs for the classification of non selfdual modular categories of rank \(2\) or \(3\) are presented in the paper under review. Actually, it is shown that any such category is pointed, and so is of the form \({\mathcal V}ect^G_{\phi}\), a category of finite-dimensional graded vector spaces endowed with the monoidal structure defined by a normalized invertible \(3\)-cocycle \(\phi\) on \(G\). The same it is shown to be a rank \(5\) integral modular category, while in the case rank \(5\) and pseudo-unitary either \(\mathcal{C}\) is pointed or is unique (up to fusion rules) having the Galois group cyclic of order \(6\). The paper ends with an appendix (due to \textit{V. Ostrik}) where it is proved that for a non selfdual modular category of rank \(5\) the pseudo-unitary condition is automatically satisfied (up to Galois conjugation).
