A new construction of topological degree for some classes of noncompact mappings defined on open subsets of Hilbert spaces is defined. The main tool is the so-called Nagumo degree. Some properties of this topological degree theory and its applications are presented, too. The present paper is very interesting for mathematicians working in topological methods and their applications to nonlinear analysis and differential equations.
