Periodic and subharmonic solutions of discrete \(p\)-Laplacian systems (Q2430488): Difference between revisions

The authors study the existence of periodic and subharmonic solutions for the following system of difference equations \[ \Delta(\phi_p(\Delta u(t-1)))+\nabla F(t,u(t))=0,\;\;\;\forall t\in{\mathbb Z}, \] where \(\Delta u(t)=u(t+1)-u(t)\), \(\phi_p(s)=|s|^{p-2}s\), \(p>1\), \(F: {\mathbb Z}\times \mathbb R^N\to \mathbb R\), \(F\) is \(T\)-periodic in \(t\). The main results are two theorems on existence \(kT\)-periodic solution \(u_k\) for every natural number \(k\) such that \(\|u\|_{\infty}\to\infty\) as \(k \to\infty\), where \(\|u\|_{\infty}=\max_{1\leq t \leq kT}|u(t)|\).
