This paper studies conditions for the vanishing of the action-Maslov homomorphism \[ I:\pi_{1}\left( \text{Ham}\left( X,\omega\right) \right) \to\mathbb{R} \] defined for a symplectic manifold \(\left( M,\omega\right) \) that is monotone, i.e., \(\omega=\kappa c_{1}\) on \(\pi _{2}\left( X\right) \) with \(\kappa>0\). A major result is that \(I=0\) for \(\mathbb{C}P^{n_{1}}\times\cdots\times\mathbb{C}P^{n_{k}}\) and the complex Grassmannian \(G\left( 2,4\right) \), adding to the list of known cases like \(\mathbb{C}P^{n}\), \(\mathbb{S}^{2}\times\mathbb{S}^{2}\), \(\mathbb{C} P^{2}\#3\overline{\mathbb{C}P}^{3}\), and \(2\)-manifolds. It is actually shown that when the Seidel element has finite order and \(\left( X,\omega\right) \) has property \(\mathcal{D}\), the action-Maslov homomorphism vanishes.
