Diffieties formalize geometrically the concept of differential equations. The author introduces and studies Hamilton-Jacobi diffieties, which intrinsically are finite-dimensional manifolds with involutive vector distributions. They are considered as finite dimensional subdiffieties of a given diffiety and are investigated in relation to the field theoretic version of the geometric Hamilton-Jacobi theory.
